color corner: indigo child

Hand in hand with our latest design collection Pastiche, we refreshed our brand color palette, complete with blues named Aegean Deep, New Heights, Indigo Child. Today, we're crushing on Indigo Child - the Royal Thai pom C305/15BB - a crucial part of the brights section in our industry leading pom box.

Like an interior concept, understanding color hinges on how things are combined. When viewing color, you are always digesting the hue in the context of others.

In Interaction of Color, Josef Albers explains:

“We are able to hear a single tone. But we almost never (that is, without special devices) see a single color unconnected and unrelated to other colors. Colors present themselves in continuous flux, constantly related to changing neighbors and changing conditions.”

We've reimagined some of our favorite Pastiche designs using the inky Indigo Child brand color–not complete without a nice contrasting punch from Acid Rind/A306 (...more on that later). This rich blue breaths life into the previously black and white based Axminster designs, shedding light on just how deep these layers can go.

BLUE IN SITU:

True blue has had the industry in a choke hold for years, but that's not without reason! See our recent project highlight showing some love to our brand color of the month, Indigo Child. Circa has a collection of suites, all of which are outfitted with Royal Thai Axminster carpet complementing the velvety blue and decadent gold color palette of the rooms. The luxurious deep blue carpet under foot grounds the space while metallic wall-covering on the ceiling invites a sense of old-school glamor as if to whisper “Hey you, you’re fabulous!”
