2018 Cruise collections have the fashion set circumnavigating the globe and Dior is no exception. Take a step into Palaeolithic cave paintings, and the work of Georgia O'Keeffe & feminist shaman Vicki Noble. Transporting us back to the infancy of mankind and its relationship to nature, as well as the invention of art. 

Like ancient people of the Upper Paleolithic period, American Indians used rock painting as a way to record their beliefs and observations of the world. The Navajo people, the Diné, believe that you pass through three different worlds before emerging into this world. In the Fourth World, or Glittering World, symbols, signs and signals are a means of communication conveying ideas.

We've taken this symbolic inspiration and pulled from our own design archives to bring you a fresh look at the American West. One that represents the magic and rich history of this ancient human experience.
